Coral and Blue Wedding at Palm Beach Lake Pavilion
The sky was dark and rumbling when I woke up on Saturday morning. This wasn’t good news for Helen and Adam who were getting married on a dock intersecting the Intracoastal later that afternoon. They are one of the most fun-loving and energetic couples I have ever met and I wanted nothing more than to make their big day perfect.
As I got to the venue I hatched a plan that would allow the couple to be married outside (if possible) while still keeping their guests safe from the elements. The Palm Beach Lake Pavilion has these incredible sliding glass doors that open to the water. So we set up the altar (lovingly made by the groom) just outside of the doors, on the patio facing the water with the guest seating inside the building. That way if the rain held out, we could open the doors and have the ceremony outside. Lucky for us the rain did just that!
The party following the ceremony was incredible! Great music, tons of dancing and an amazing ice sculpture that served to cool the vodka shots that were flowing. Definitely a night for the record books!
