    4th of July Party

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Celebrating America’s birthday with a warm summer night, bbq and fireworks with a fun, patriotic get together is something I look forward to. This year’s 4th of July Party was no different!

Using the traditional color scheme of red, white and blue, I created a tablescape for a buffet. Two centerpieces – one larger, one smaller – were accented by various size paper rosettes on the back wall and hanging lanterns from the ceiling. The centerpieces were created utilizing decor items found at Pier One.

Burgers, brats and steak cooked on the grill were the main course of the party, so the table was filled with yummy appetizers, desserts and drinks for guests to enjoy. The drink of choice for the evening was sangria made with a my family recipe. Simple, sweet and delicious! As an appetizer, we had an array of Wisconsin cheeses accompanied by crackers. As a side dish for the entrees, we offered a basic house salad and Pop Chips. For dessert, I baked cupcakes topped with buttercream frosting all made from scratch using a recipe given to me by my aunt (a baker).

As always, the night sky was lit up by fireworks as the grand finale for a wonderful day. If you need help creating your own unique event or wedding, please feel free to contact us! We’d love to be a part of it!

So imagine my surprise when I had the opportunity to contribute to the article “10 Hidden Costs of Throwing a Wedding”. The article is exactly what the title implies – 10 hidden wedding costs to watch out for during the planning process. My advise is the last, but certainly not least, Tip 10. Thank you to Elizabeth over at Brides for the opportunity to contribute. Make sure to check it out!
