During our first meeting, Christina and Johnnie told me that they wanted a great party! Being Puerto Rican they wanted to be able to dance the night away with their family and friends. Fortunately for them, my family is Puerto Rican so I understood exactly what type of party they were looking for and what a party it was! From the perfect mix of merengue, reggaeton and 90’s hip-hop, the dance floor was never empty at their Harriet Himmel Theater Wedding.
We started the day at Palm Beach Lake Pavilion for the ceremony. It was a beautiful winter day in West Palm Beach filled with sun and not a cloud to be seen. Palm Beach Lake Pavilion’s all glass walls allowed guests to enjoy the sunshine without the chance of sunburn or being too hot. The space was beautifully decorated by Gerilyn Gianna Event and Floral Design. The highlight of the ceremony was Christina and Johnnie’s choice of recessional song. Since they met online on eHaromony, the recessional song was “This Will Be” by Natalie Cole. This choice made everyone present laugh and cheer even louder!
After the ceremony, Molly’s Trolleys transported the guests through downtown West Palm Beach to CityPlace’s Harriet Himmel Theater. Here guests were treated to a delicious cocktail hour while awaiting the arrival of the bride and groom.
Utilizing a silver and ice blue color scheme, Gerilyn Gianna Event and Floral Design created a lovely tablescape filled with hydrangeas and garden roses. Each table was named after a street in downtown West Palm Beach as a nod to the couple’s love for their city. Candles covered in “love notes” graced each table as well. The cake provided by Publix Greenwise was the perfect compliment. It was a truly fun day all around!
