If you haven’t heard of Pinterest or just haven’t jumped on the wagon yet, it’s time to get on board. Pinterest is an online tool for collecting and organizing ideas. Once you have added the “Pin It” button to your bookmark bar you can easily “pin” an image or video from any website. Those pins are stored on a “board” that allows you to organize pins by topic. Boards can be secret or public, and you can invite other people to pin with you on any of your boards. Follow us on Pinterest.
Wedding Planning with Pinterest makes live simple! These boards are extremely valuable because now you can store all your ideas in one place without having to cut-up hundreds of magazines. Plus, they can help translate your dream into reality with the hassle of having to verbally describe what you are envisioning. When a bride says her style is “traditional”, what she’s visualizing may very well be something different them myself. With Pinterest there’s no confusion!
For me, these boards serve as a creative starting point to bring your unique style to the event. For one of my brides, she didn’t want a traditional flower bouquet but something with shells. She explained that the shell bouquet she pinned wasn’t exactly what she wanted but it was close. So I was able to create a beautiful, unique bouquet taking the elements from the pin she loved but keeping it in the style of her wedding. Isn’t the final product stunning?
