Welcome Baby E to the World

Hello all! I’m so pleased to announce that baby E arrived in April and it has been an absolute whirlwind.

At 29 weeks, I became ill with severe preeclampsia and pregnancy induced hypertension and was admitted to the hospital. After a week in the hospital, doctors were still unable to get my symptoms under control and decided to perform an emergency C-section. Baby E was born 5 days prior to the my scheduled baby shower and 10 weeks early of my due date (June 24). As a result of her early arrival and low birth weight (2lb 14oz), she was placed in the NICU.

Having a baby in the NICU is overwhelming and terrifying. I just wanted to spend a day surrounded by my family and friends, so my baby shower took place as scheduled and became an arrival party! Photos of Baby E were on display around the house and guests gave me tons of premie outfits, diapers, and all the necessities of bringing a baby home early.

The theme for the baby shower was “Pineapple of my Eye” and it was an absolute blast. Having a shower with such a playful theme allowed guests to relax and enjoy the blessing (as unorthodox as her arrival was). 5.5 weeks after the baby shower, Emiliana was finally released from NICU with a clean bill of health and ready to take on the world.

We decorated her nursery in a Lilly Pulitzer theme to go hand in hand with her baby shower theme. Lilly is one of my favorite designers and I couldn’t imagine decorating Baby E’s room any other way.

Like I said, it’s been a whirlwind but every great adventure has to start with a bang.

Stunning Black Tie Wedding at the Milwaukee County Historical Society

Oh black tie weddings, how I love thee! This elegant, emerald wedding is absolutely stunning. I love how Meghan and Carl blended their backgrounds to create this beautiful, black tie Milwaukee wedding celebrating Meghan’s Milwaukee roots and Carl’s Filipino heritage. It was such a pleasure be their Milwaukee wedding planner.

The tone of the wedding day was set by the elegant invitation suite and paperie provided by Shine Wedding Invitations that highlighted their emerald color scheme. This stunning color scheme was then carried throughout the day, starting with the striking bridesmaid dresses and ending with the luscious florals provided by Impressions by Esther.

Old Saint Mary Parish Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the breathtaking Old Saint Mary Parish in downtown Milwaukee. Meghan carried a family handkerchief passed on to her by her mother. Within the traditional Catholic mass, they incorporated a Filipino wedding service. During this service, Meghan and Carl’s godparents presented them with coins that represented abundant spiritual strength and material possessions. They were then draped with a veil that represented the purity and joy of new beginnings. Lastly, they were draped with a cord to bind Meghan and Carl together for life. It was an amazing tradition filled with love and family.

Milwaukee County Historical Society Wedding Reception

The stunning Milwaukee County Historical Society served as the reception space. With its cream city brick, vaulted ceilings and dramatic chandeliers, it was the perfect backdrop for an elegant, black tie wedding. Guest tables were adorned with alternating high and low centerpieces filled with green and white florals accented with gold and crystal. The place settings were embellished with elegant menu cards and delicious chocolates. They opted for the Bluewater Kings Band to rock the reception until the wee hours of the morning. It was truly a fun night!

Elegant Purple and Silver Wedding at the Harriet Himmel Theater

During our first meeting, Gina and Daniel told me that they wanted a to plan a great Palm Beach wedding! They wanted to be able to let their guests relax and enjoy their special day. It was such a pleasure be their Palm Beach wedding planner.

Royal Poinciana Chapel Wedding Ceremony

We started the day at Royal Poinciana Chapel for the ceremony. The 120-year-old church stands adjacent to the historical Flagler Museum along the bank of the Intracoastal. The views of downtown are magnificent and make for wonderful photos. Inside the church, the highlight is the stunning pipe organ that serves as the backdrop to the alter. It was the perfect setting for Gina and Daniel’s nuptials.

After the ceremony, VIP Global transported the wedding party throughout downtown West Palm Beach to capture the essence of the city where Gina and Daniel fell in love.

Harriet Himmel Theater Wedding Reception

Upon arriving to Harriet Himmel Theater, guests were welcomed by an elegant purple and silver color scheme. J Morgan Flowers created stunning firework centerpieces filled with orchids, hydrangea and roses which sat upon silver linens. Each place settings featured personalized menu cards for the intended. Truly wanting guests to enjoy themselves, Gina and Daniel opted to have Bay Kings Band get the party started and have Bassline Entertainment DJ to bring the party home. The combo of live band and DJ was so much fun. By the end of the night, guests didn’t want to go home. Who could blame them?
